Congrats to everyone on a great meet this past weekend. Please remember that entries for STAR-CUDA June 1-3 are due ASAP. Please get them in.
A couple quick announcements. We will be having an informational meeting for summer league this coming Tuesday May 14th at 5:30 at RallySport. There you will be able to get info on meet dates, officials clinics, apparel orders and any other info you may need. \
Also, a quick note for the next two Fridays. Due to the Boy's high school meets we will be having only one outdoor workout on May 10th and 17th. It will be for swimmers from both outdoor groups and it will be from 4-5:30.
With the end of the Short Course season looming there are some schedule changes that we will be making for the next few weeks.
There will be normal workouts all this week with the exception of Friday afternoon we will have only one outdoor workout from 4-5:30. All other workouts will remain the same.
Next week (March 11th-15th) workouts are optional and there will be one workout outside each day from 4-5:30. The Junior I workout will remain unchanged 4-4:45, but the Junior II workouts will be from 4:45-5:30 only. There will be no Saturday workout.
The following week (March 18th-24th) RACE will have no workouts. All swimmers have this week off.
We will resume optional workouts the week of March 25th-30th with the same revised schedule as above. One outdoor workout from 4-5:30 and Junior II will be shortened from 4:45-5:30.
Normal workouts and times resume for all groups on April 1st. There is only one workout time change moving forward in the Spring/Summer and that is that Friday outdoor workouts will begin at 3:30 instead of 4. We know some people may be late until school is out, but that is ok. That first week the girls will have the early (3:30-5:00) workout.

Let me start this week by congratulating the girls on a wonderful High School season. You guys made great progress and represented RACE well all season.
This weekend is the Jeffco meet on Sat and Sun. We do have relays entered in the meet so please let your coach know upon arrival whether you would like to swim relays.
On Friday we will still have a girls and boys workout. However, due to the meet, Friday practices will only be an hour for the outdoor groups. Girls will be from 4-5 and boys from 5-6.
Please remember that Silver and Senior State entries are due to Grant and Taylor on Friday. If any cuts are made at Jeffco, please email those entries and times on Sunday night. We must do the entry on Monday and there are no late entries for State meets.
Happy February RACE! We had another great weekend of racing at the girl's high school league and conference meets. Our girls were awesome and look primed and ready for the High School State Championships this weekend. Good luck to all the RACE swimmers participating. Also, good luck to the kids heading off to the HRA meet this weekend. We are sending a small, but mighty group.
Our next full team meet is the Jeffco meet on the 16th and 17th. Please double check your entries with Taylor as any changes must be made by Friday.
A couple of deadlines looming. Please remember that anyone wanting to attend the training camp at the OTC from March 25-30th please send your intent to me by Thursday. I know many of you have let me know, but please email me your intent to go again. The cost is $45 a day and that includes room and board. All Senior group, 14 and over swimmers are welcome, but be prepared for a pretty tough training schedule. Email with any questions.
The deadlines for the State meet entries are as follows.
Silver and Senior State entries are due Feb 15th. If new cuts are made at the Jeffco meet, you can email me those on Monday the 18th and I can get them in.
14 and Under State are due on Feb 22nd. Additionally, any 14 and under swimmers that would like to swim relays, please let Taylor know by this date. You do not need individual cuts to swim in relays and we would like to field as many relays as possible.
Congrats to everyone on an amazing meet this weekend. We haven't gotten the official results yet, but I think we set another several team records and a large number of top tens, Silver State, and State cuts. Way to go guys.
We have a couple of year round meets on the horizon. Anyone interested in the HRA meet on the 9th, please email Taylor entries today. Also, for all those attending the Jeffco meet on the 16th and 17th (that is hopefully everyone), entries are due by Friday. No exceptions.
A quick note. Christine and I are off to Brazil on Wed for a World Cup Open Water 10K race in Santos, Brazil. I then fly back and she travels on for a race the following weekend in Argentina. Wish her luck in representing RACE internationally.
Another Senior college announcement. Stephen Cimino was accepted into the Engineering school at CU and will be headed there in the Fall and plans to race for the reigning national champion triathlon team. Congrats Stephen.
The Holidays are over and the meat of the season is upon us. We have big high school meets for the girls this week and the CUDA meet this weekend. Not to mention we are closing in on the end of the girl's high school season and Christine is off to World Cups in Brazil and Argentina starting next week.
A couple quick announcements. We were planning on going to the HRA meet on the Saturday of the 9th only, but there does not seem to be a lot of interest, especially given we have a meet the following weekend. HRA is dependent on interest, so if you would like to go, please send Taylor an email this week. This meet will mostly be for the Junior swimmers. We will be attending the North Jeffco meet on the weekend of the 16th and 17th instead of the Sweetheart Meet in Loveland. This meet will be the last chance to make Silver and Senior State cuts. State cuts can be made at the Silver State meet. If you have questions, email me.
Finally, a quick congrats to our Seniors who have committed to
college and to swimming in college. Here is what we know so far. Keep
me posted as the rest of you make your choices.
Sebastian Harvey - University of Puget Sound
Geoffrey Longhurst - South Dakota State University
Hannah Frick - New York University
Cody Hoyes - South Dakota State University
Lacey Smith - Northwestern University
Welcome back everyone from the Christmas break. We hope you all had a Merry Christmas and a Happy Holidays.
A quick note for two things
1. Please, please, please send you CUDA entries ASAP. If you do not send them before the New Year, we cannot guarantee that you can get in the meet. Email Taylor or Grant with entries and if you are not attending the meet, email us that as well.
2. Schedule changes. There will be only one outdoor workout tomorrow Friday the 28th at 4PM. All outdoor swimmers come at that time. Monday practice is set right now for Senior I and II swimmers only at 5am. I am working on a better time and will keep you posted if I get that time. There is no afternoon workouts on Monday. All Tuesday afternoon workouts are on for New Year's Day.
